Christina river reflections

November 19, 2012  •  1 Comment

Greetings and/or salutations once again from the great state of Delaware, in the great city of Wilmington, on the great river Christina!

In my ongoing film photography silliness, I took my Nikon FM3A, this time loaded with Kodak Ektar 100 film, over to the Riverfront walk to capture some of the golden hour light recently.

Here you can see the Kalmar Nyckel tallship docked along the riverfront:

There is a little boathouse and dock along the riverfront that is used frequently for people doing crew/rowing.  Here's a shot from that dock:

And here's the boathouse behind the pier, complete with its reflection on the water:

And here's a view of the mast and sail of the tallship Kalmar Nyckel, which was docked along the riverfront walkway:

I then heard a faint motor-sound, turned around, and there was some guy gliding along the river in a little boat!

Wilmington really is a nice little city, and having the riverfront walkway is a great bonus for us who work close by - great place to go for a quick walk at lunchtime...

And there you go ladies and gentlemen.  I encourage you to plan a trip to visit Wilmington if you haven't already.  It's a nice little place!
